Hi, Welcome ! I'am Fatih

You can follow us on the following social networks.

2 Days Konya- Mevlana Tour - 2/1

Day1- Konya- Beysehir Tour

All these names came from the same origin, they have a common story in Greek legends. The brave boy, who dismembered the snake-haired devil Medusa, was the hero of this city, so the citizens decided to erect sculptures of their hero, thanks to all these icons around the city people named the region as ‘Ikonium’ with passing years that became ‘Konya’ .Descendants of the old Greek people lived in Sille till 1930s, today we will visit their stone-cut Hagia Irene Church in its original area. Pleasure-seeking Greek people settled in Sille because of its natural beauty and similarity of Cappadocia, in the trail of these people we will discover the village and have tea by the river which cuts the settlement into two parts. After a local lunch which includes tandir (bread baked in floor furnace) will make you full so you can have a rest on the way.

After visiting all these beautiful Greek sights we take one more step to our present day. Now its Seljuk Empire era, another pleasure-seeking community who came from Central Asia on horseback. In the wake of a long journey from Asia, ancestors of us settled in Beysehir, far more beautiful area than Sille with its famous Beysehir Lake. Just by the lake they built Kubad’abad Palace as a summer residence for Sultan even if it looks like a ruin now it worths seeing. In the centre of the city we come across a mosque, its called Esrefoglu Mosque,  the mosque is the biggest, the best preserved wooden columned and roofed mosque in Islamic World. The 715 years witnessed collapses of states, empires and sultans but couldn’t beat it down. We will satisfy your history, nature and art curiosity in here, then we will move to  Konya city center which whirls around the Green Tomb of Mevlana Jalal’eddin Rumi .

Rumi’s Lodge will tell you all the story of Islamic, Turkish and Sufi Movement story which had radical changes within centuries. You will have a chance to see the atmosphere and listen the stages to be a Dervish.Moral rules of the time will astonish you but not as much as the accomplishment of Sufism ideas or its formation levels. To fully understand the story of Rumi who came to Anatolia from Belh (present day Afghanistan) we need to listen all the mystical sounds in the Lodge which tells you more than your guide. All the family and students of Mevlana sleeps around the complex to be closer to the divine love.

Leaving the city without visiting the teacher and the best friend of Mevlana will be illogical, so we drive to Sems-i Tebrizi Tomb, which is simple in comparison with the tomb of Mevlana Jalal’eddin Rumi. The man who made Rumi a poet and a man of love will affect you deeply. You will feel the divine love which embraces all the people from all around the world regardless of their religion, belief, race or identity..Overnight in Konya

Day 2- Konya Mevlana Tour

After breakfast at hotel we start our day.

Men on horseback who conquers the known part of world and his trader fellows who builds trade routes from central asia till constantinople (today's istanbul) all these brave hearts found and served to Seljuk Empire. Military posts of the Seljuk Empire were constructed next to the caravasary bearing the traces of Turkish nomadic art icons and marks. Today we will visit some of these artifacts such as caravansarais on the way to Konya city. For centuries they served as free hotels for voyagers within the Empire borders, Sultans displayed their respect and reliability to the passangers. After having our tea and discovering the classical architecture of caracansaray, we will set off for Konya city centre where we will see madrasahs. In order to examine the advanced tile and mosaic art in Seljuk time, we take you to Karatay Madrasah, where Mevlana Jalaleddin Rumi  lectured.Exhibition of the mosaics from all the palaces around the Seljuk Empire will astonish you with its richness and variety. Ceiling and dome which is designed in the shape of Turkish triangle and the tile adornments bearing the names of in three divine religion will show you the source of Rumi's hospitality. In the sequel of a carved stone and a tile ornated examples of perfection it is time to compare them so we are going to a mixture of them, Sircali Madrasah. It is one of the oldest schools of Konya which made it an attractive city to be a capital for Seljuk Empire. That was such a good school that Sultan would come to talk with students and the lecturers about international issues.

Now we will talk in its garden about these fact which made Seljuk Empire a strong rival for Byzantine Empire. After getting lost in dusty pages of history we bring you back to present day .End of the day transfer to airport and fly to lstanbul.Transfer to your hotel. We say goodbye

In ancient Greek mythology we come across with the story of Medusa (monster with snake hairs),once upon a time she was a calamity for the city.

One day a hero came out, Perseus (son of Poseidon-god of oceans-) killed the Medusa and cut her head.

All the city was graced with his statues and there were his icons everywhere.Because of these icons city named as lkonion.

With passing years these became Konya. Now it is time to see the most beautiful scene of the city.

Beysehir was founded just by the lake with same name, now it holds the best natural scene of Konya.

'Heaven should be under or over of here ' this is the famous quote of Alaaddin Keykubat the Seljuk Emperor.

Just on shore of the lake we see Kubat'abad Palace which was built as a mansion for Seljuk Emperors.

After having fresh water fish as lunch we drink Turkish tea in calming silence.

Ornate carved entrance of Esrefoglu Mosque will invite you inside, to see its painted flat wooden ceiling and monolit wooden pillars.

Cleverly designed snow pit to make hot summer days cooler and avoid building from moisture in cold, snowy winters of Anatolia.

Mehrab with turquoise and black tiles is an example of Seljukian architectural  perfection. It really worths to pray there for everybody.

In the footsteps of Mevlana who calls for peace all the people around the world without regarding the religion, race or political ideas of them.Human should be loved

because of the Craeator (God) not only for his ideas. That's the main lslamic idea of human love which is the reason of peaceful conditions during Sejuk & Ottoman Eras.

Now we will visit the two different regions and two different religion, we start our tour with the city centre which is founded around the Lodge of Sufi's Leader.

Mevlana Museum is the starting point of Sufism which aims a peaceful atmosphere all around the world. The gift of Sultan Alaaddin Keykubat (Seljuk Empire) to the father of

Mevlana is a home for Sufi Dervishes for more than 700 years. The prestigious green dome of it was built just after the meeting of Mevlana with God.Other parts of the Dergah

was built in different time periods during Seljuk, Ottoman and Turkey.

Without eating two meter 'etliekmek' which has minute meats on it you cant say 'I was in Konya'.After having a lunch in a local restaurant we set off to Sille. In these historical

Christian village we visit the Hagia Irene Church and we see the stone-cut houses. With its natural caves it resembles Cappadocia even if it's not as beautiful as the real Cappadocia

Valleys. You may have smoke waterpipe by the Sille Channel in the afternoon or have a dinner in a hundred years old loft. Then we transfer you to the largest airport of Turkey for return flight.
